The 2013 Miramar Air Show was projected to be an entertaining event headlined by civilian aerial performers as well as a jet truck, drag racing and evening concert performances. Saturday night's schedule also included the famous "Wall of Fire" and spectacular fireworks show. Though the event was a modified version of a "normal" year due to the military sequestration and absence of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, it was well-advertised and expected to draw good community support on Friday and Saturday.
Everything changed early Thursday morning when the decision was made to cancel the air show as a result of the government shutdown. Unfortunately, the Gavins had already completed production on their merchandise.
