The Pioneer Huntington Beach Surf City Artist

Artist Paul Gavin, one of the first artists to focus full time on Huntington Beach images, lived and worked in Huntington Beach from 1976 to 1989, first on 11th St. and then upstairs at 115 Main Street while living at 5th and Walnut next door to the Surf Theater until these buildings were demolished.

In his unique 1951 Ford F-1 pickup (featured on the Surf City Hawaiian™ design in front of the Surf Theater) he traveled throughout Huntington Beach painting the OP Pro, the Golden Bear, the old pier, and other classic Huntington Beach images.
